JEE Joint Entrance Examination-2016


Aspiring engineering candidates throughout the country take part in the exam exercise that is the JEE. Securing a good rank in JEE can get you admission in desirable engineering colleges and institutes throughout the country. JEE, or the Joint Entrance Exam administrated by the CBSE, is the premier exam in India for securing an admission to various engineering courses.


The examination is held in two parts. The JEE-Main will allow students admissions to the IIITs, National Institutes of Technology, CFTIs, and several other colleges and universities. Top ranking students from JEE-Main will be allowed to take the JEE-Advanced exam, which allows admission to premier institutes like Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), and the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad.



Tentative Dates for  JEE-2016

JEE Main online application starts :  1st December 2015

JEE Main online application last date : 31st December 2015

Correction period :two weeks in second half of January 2016

Availability of JEE Main admit card 2016 – first week of March 2016 (onwards)

JEE Main pen and paper based paper : 3rd April 2016

JEE Main Computer based Paper : 9th April 2016

Display of Answer Key and OMR Sheet : fourth week of April 2016

JEE Main Result 2016 Declaration (paper 1 & paper 2) : first week of July 2016

Availability of score/rank cards :After the Declaration of AIR, JEE Main rank
